Fairness, innovation, flexibility and reliability are the four brand values where Kuhn Special Steel’s approach to business sets benchmarks. These values are appreciated by our commercial partners of many years’ standing, as well as by potential new customers. Setting up – and retaining – contacts with both groups was an important objective of our presence at the Achema trade show held in June at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre. Kuhn Special Steel has been attending the event for many years, and uses its presence there to cultivate contacts with customers from different sectors from the separation technology through the pumps and valves manufacturers to the exhibitors from the food-industry technology.
Our presence at the event was also designed to showcase our core competence in the fields of centrifugal casting, processing and materials development. These objectives were successfully achieved. The innovations on show included, along with other items, finished components according to customer drawings, plus – in the field of materials technology – products made of stainless steel and nickel- and cobalt-based alloys. Our team of experts manned by employees from several different departments was also proactive in its attempts to reach out to other exhibitors, in their efforts to make fellow attendees aware of Kuhn’s tailored approach to problem-solving.
We can confirm top outcomes in this respect, in terms of both numbers of visitors to our stand and direct dialogue with other exhibitors, all of which resulted in valuable contacts. Kuhn Special Steel’s presence at the Achema event has been marked not only by the number of contacts made, but also by the high quality of those contacts. Key figures for Achema 2015 included a total of 166,444 visitors and 3,813 exhibitors from 56 countries, about half of whom were German; all there to show off their innovations. As one trade publication put it, Achema promises a “whole range of business deals to report, with plenty to do on the sales and distribution side.” They were probably thinking of Kuhn Special Steel when they wrote it!
