Seven new trainees start their apprenticeships at Kuhn Special Steel

And even those who make up their minds at the last minute still have the opportunity to join the current training year. Continue reading

On 15 August 2022, seven new trainees started their first year of training with us. Two indus-trial clerks, four cutting machine operators and one industrial mechanic were selected from the many applications. In this way, we continue to counteract the increasingly noticeable shortage of skilled workers, because well-trained skilled workers play an important role in the production of high-quality products, even in the age of Industry 4.0.

The new apprentices first got to know each other on the first day. On the second day, they went to team training with all the other trainees. On the agenda this year: raft building! The trainees first had to forge a plan for building the raft themselves in small groups and then put it into practice. Finally, the rafts were tested for stability in a small race!

Over the next few days, the industrial clerks will be distributed to the commercial departments, while the industrial-technical trainees will first learn the basics of the metal profession at the company’s own training centre.

Since not all apprenticeship positions have been filled so far, even those who have made up their minds at the last minute still have a chance: are you interested in an apprenticeship in the industrial-technical field? Then find out more at www.seidu-beiuns.de and apply quickly for the current training year.

The application process for the coming training year is also already underway, because: after the start of training is before the start of training. The following apprenticeship occupations are advertised for the 2023 training year: Industrial clerk and cutting machine operator (with A-levels), construction mechanic, industrial mechanic, warehouse specialist, machine and plant operator and foundry mechanic.

If you would also like to become a part of Kuhn Special Steel and are interested in one of the apprenticeships in our family-owned company, please feel free to find out more at any time at www.seidu-beiuns.de.
