New training year has started

Although the number of applicants in 2025 fell slightly short of expectations, the company still managed to find at least one suitable candidate for each of the advertised vacancies and recruit them for training at M. Jürgensen.
The company is now delighted to welcome three prospective machine and plant operators, three cutting machine operators, one industrial mechanic trainee, and one industrial electronics technician trainee. “We were also able to recruit a career changer as a prospective office clerk,” says Svenja Böhmert, head of commercial training. This brings the total number of trainees at M. Jürgensen to 24.
The first day for the new trainees began in the traditional manner with an official welcome and an opportunity to get to know each other. A tour of the company then gave everyone the chance to gain a more detailed insight into the company and its numerous processes before the day ended with a pizza dinner together with the older trainees.
New and existing MJ trainees can already look forward to a very special event. On October 11, they will attend the regional derby between Bundesliga handball clubs SG Flensburg-Handewitt and THW Kiel. There, the trainees can expect not only an exciting handball match, but also a VIP package that includes a tour of the arena, a buffet, and free drinks. This will give all trainees the opportunity to get to know each other better, exchange ideas, and make new fan friends.
Since, as we all know, the start of training is just around the corner, we would like to remind anyone who knows young, motivated people who will soon be looking for a training position for 2026 or who simply want to do an internship that M. Jürgensen will once again be offering numerous training positions in various commercial and industrial fields next year.
