Sustainability Report 2025
With our latest sustainability report, we are continuing our tradition of transparent reporting – for the first time based on the European VSME standard. The report focuses on the sustainability initiatives of our manufacturing companies, Kuhn Edelstahl and M. Jürgensen. Continue reading
For us, sustainability remains a long-term corporate commitment. As a manufacturing group in particular, we know that responsible business practices are not merely theoretical. They are reflected in very concrete ways in our investment decisions, in the modernization of our facilities, in our use of energy and resources, in the safety and training of our employees, and in the continuous improvement of our production processes.
At the same time, the framework conditions for sustainability reporting continued to evolve in the reporting year of 2025. Political and regulatory developments are creating new uncertainties for many companies, but at the same time they open up the opportunity to align reporting more closely with practical application, relevance, and actual impact.
With our 2025 Sustainability Report, we are therefore taking a new step: For the first time, we are aligning our reporting with the European VSME standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs). This voluntary reporting standard establishes a structured and comparable framework for sustainability reporting by small and medium-sized enterprises.
In doing so, we deliberately did not limit ourselves to the basic module but also applied the extended module of the VSME standard. Our goal is to present relevant sustainability topics in a nuanced and transparent manner while simultaneously creating a robust information foundation for customers, employees, banks, business partners, and other stakeholders.
This year’s report focuses on the manufacturing companies within our Group: Kuhn Edelstahl, including its machining division, and M. Jürgensen. Key areas of focus include energy and resource efficiency, implemented measures, our greenhouse gas inventories, employee-related topics, and our values and code of conduct.
Our commitment remains unchanged: to make progress measurable, openly address challenges, and gradually position our companies to be more sustainable and future-proof.
With our new Sustainability Report for 2025, we invite you to form your own impression of our activities, key metrics, and progress. We welcome your suggestions and constructive feedback.
