As an energy-intensive industrial company, we bear a special responsibility in the context of the energy transition – and we are committed to meeting this responsibility. We are aware that the transformation to climate-neutral production is a long-term process. Many technologies, such as those in the field of green hydrogen, are still in development or are not yet economically viable. Nevertheless, every single step that brings us closer to our goal motivates us.

We are therefore working consistently to develop strategies and implement measures that reduce our emissions and promote sustainable production processes. We document the results, progress, and new approaches annually in our sustainability reports.

At the same time, we operate within a dynamic legal framework: ESG reporting and regulation are currently undergoing constant change. Numerous guidelines defining companies’ reporting obligations are continuously specified, adapted, and expanded. This instability brings with it many uncertainties, as room for interpretation, varying degrees of national implementation, and changing reporting requirements demand a great deal of flexibility and adaptability from companies and their employees.

We are closely monitoring these developments and continuously adapting our internal processes to meet future requirements in a timely manner while ensuring consistent, transparent, and robust sustainability communication.
