Start of Training 2025

Twelve young people have started their training at Kuhn Edelstahl in Radevormwald this year. This is one of the highest numbers in years – particularly encouraging given that the search for suitable candidates has become increasingly difficult in recent years. Continue reading

“We are delighted to welcome so many new trainees this year and wish you all a great start with us,” says Gesa Richter, commercial training manager, welcoming the new arrivals and adding: “It’s great to see that, despite all the competition, so many young professionals have chosen us as their training company.”

In addition to two industrial clerks, we at Kuhn Edelstahl were particularly pleased to fill positions in the area of industrial training this year. We were able to recruit one prospective industrial mechanic, one metal technology specialist, and one foundry machine and plant operator, as well as seven (!!!) cutting machine operators, one of whom is a dual student.

“We are particularly pleased that two female candidates have shown enthusiasm for our technical training as industrial mechanic and cutting machine operator and are now joining our team of trainees,” emphasizes Grischa Hopmeier, industrial training manager, as these occupational fields are traditionally dominated by men.

On their first day, there are of course a few organizational matters on the agenda for our newcomers: getting to know each other, a tour of the plant, and photo opportunities are among the items on the program. On August 18 and 19, all Kuhn trainees will take part in a joint team event, which will provide ample opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better.

In the following week, the new trainees will get their first glimpse of their future work environment at the company’s training center and in the commercial departments. In what’s called team training, the new trainees will be “taken under the wing” of trainees from higher years and introduced to the first important things.

For anyone who knows young, motivated people who will soon be looking for an apprenticeship for 2026 or who simply want to do an internship: next year, we will once again be offering numerous apprenticeships in various commercial and industrial fields. Internships are also possible at any time and in all of the apprenticeship professions we offer. Feel free to take a look at: www.kuhn-edelstahl.de/nachwuchskraefte
